Charging and scheduling
Three ways to recharge
Low-charge return
Below a set level, the robot asks the dispatch system for a charger, goes to the nearest free one and rejoins the queue when it reaches the set level.
Opportunity charging
Charging scheduled for shift changes and breaks, so the fleet is full when it is needed.
Manual charging
On the spot when a robot has stopped away from a charger; the monthly full charge and discharge; and single-robot, trial or low-frequency use, where an automatic charger is not needed at all.
Before manual charging, switch the machine off at the key; never use it alongside the automatic port; do not move the machine while charging; and before a long shutdown charge to about 50% rather than full.
