THE CASE FOR AGV
Calculating the return on investment
Whether robots are worth it depends on comparing the investment with your current labour costs. Use your own data, count the full investment and be conservative about returns.
01 / COUNT THE FULL INVESTMENT
One-off investment and annual costs, counted separately
{{ l.name }}
{{ l.items }}
One-off costs for equipment, software implementation and interface changes go into the total project investment; ongoing costs for maintenance, batteries, wearing parts and maintenance staff are deducted from the annual savings.
02 / BE CONSERVATIVE ABOUT RETURNS

03 / USE YOUR OWN DATA
The data to prepare
On the calculation sheet, we mark clearly which data has been confirmed on site and which is estimated.
04 / THE PAYBACK PERIOD
Calculating the simple payback period
Divide the total project investment by the annual net savings. For example, if the annual net savings are half of the total investment, the investment is recovered in about two years.
