Spare parts and wear items

How to stock

High value Controllers, lidar, drive modules, batteries and gearboxes. Expensive and rarely failing, they are stocked by project size; a small project can rely on supply from us, accepting the wait: without a spare, downtime in China is generally 2 to 5 days.
Low value Buttons, horns, sensors, edges and covers. Cheap and comparatively failure-prone, so keep them on hand: a machine stopped for want of a small button is a poor trade.
Wear items Wheels, emergency stop buttons, bumpers, warning lights, timing belts and similar parts are replaced when they fail, taking tens of minutes on site. Common wearing parts are kept in stock.
Core component intervals Drive wheels: 2 to 3 years for standard models, 1.5 to 2 years for heavy-duty models; lithium battery packs: more than 2 years, or 1,500 to 2,000 charge cycles; lifting unit bearing bushes: more than 2 years, 1.5 years for heavy-duty models. The complete machine is designed for 8 to 10 years.

For projects with 10 or more robots, we recommend stocking spare parts in the quantities we advise. Quantities rise with fleet size, but not equally: for the JS-U0400-DLP, a five-robot project stocks no controller and a fifty-robot project five, while emergency stop buttons go from two to twenty. Cheap parts that fail more often scale with the fleet; expensive ones depend on how much downtime you can accept.
