Spare parts and wear items
Managing the stock
Keep records
One file per robot: build date, commissioning date, cumulative mileage, lifting counts and every major part replaced. It is the main basis for deciding whether something needs changing, and far more reliable than impressions.
First in, first out
Batteries and electronics have shelf lives, so rotate stock by date received.
Do not scrap what comes off
Controllers, cameras and drive modules can come back to us for assessment and are often repairable. Lithium packs must go to a licensed recycler.
Two of the critical parts
Keep two each of the controller and drive module. With a spare on site a key part is replaced in 1 to 2 hours; without one, the robot waits for delivery, generally 2 to 5 days in China.
Discontinued models
If a model is discontinued, we tell you in advance and offer an alternative. Many parts are standard components that are easy to buy in China.
