Docking and installation
V-shaped dock
Used by jacking machines. The charger starts once the robot reaches the position, touches the floating contact and battery voltage is detected.
Side-retracting dock
Used by forklifts. The mechanism extends sideways to a socket on the machine flank; it tolerates a wider parking angle than a V dock, which suits longer bodies.
Why heavy machines need a big charger
The two-tonne class carries a 48 V 67 Ah battery: over three hours on a 20 A dock, a little over one on a 50 A. Across multiple shifts that difference is availability.
Installation
A dedicated 220 V circuit with a sound earth; a 100 A dock needs more supply capacity, confirmed before installation; at least one and a half body lengths clear in front; never on the main aisle; and floor flatness to docking-area standard, since it decides docking success.
Safety
Never charge through the automatic and manual ports at once. Protection covers input over- and under-voltage, output over-voltage and over-current, short circuit, over-temperature, reverse connection, earth and surge; between 45 and 65 °C output is derated, above that the module shuts down.
