Spare parts and wear items
Managing the stock
Keep records
One file per machine: build date, commissioning date, cumulative mileage, lift cycles and every part replaced. It is the only sound basis for deciding whether something needs changing.
First in, first out
Batteries and electronics have shelf lives, so rotate stock by date received.
Do not scrap what comes off
Controllers, cameras and drive modules can come back to us for assessment and are often repairable. Lithium packs must go to a licensed recycler.
Double up on the critical few
Two each of the controller and drive module turn a multi-day stoppage into a few hours.
